Parking, Doorlocks and Guest Check-In
Welcome to Hotel Galena and Riverboat Suites. We are excited that you choose to stay with us and look forward to hosting you during your visit to Galena. Our location puts you just blocks way from everything that makes Galena one of the most charming destinations in the Midwest.
Below are some of the critical details you will need to park, find your room, check-in and gain entry to your room.
Guest Parking at Hotel Galena
Hotel Galena offers complimentary onsite parking for Suites 5, 6, 8, and 10, as well as Room 7. Our parking lot is immediately to the right (north) of the Riverboat Suites building.
For guests staying in Rooms 1, 2, 3, 4, and 9, parking is typically available in the city parking lot immediately across the street from Hotel Galena. If that lot is full, we recommend that you park on S. Prospect Street which is just south of Hotel Galena.
Room Locations
Hotel Galena and Riverboat Suites occupy both of the buildings at 324 Spring Street and 328 Spring Street. Rooms 1-4 and Suite 5 are located in the Hotel Galena building at 324 Spring Street. (See property map). The entrance to Suite 5 is on the left side of the building, while the entrance to Rooms 1-4 are up the external stairs by the office and around to the left at the back of the Hotel galena building.
Suites 6, 8 and 10 and rooms 7 and 9 are located in the Riverboat Suites building at 328 Spring Street. (See property map). The entrance to Suite 6 is at the front of the building. The entrance to Room 7 is on the right side of the building. Suites 8 and 10 and Room 9 are accessible by going up the external stairs by the office and around to the right at the back of the Riverboat Suites building.
Check-In Procedures
Check-in at Hotel Galena can be either contactless via our digital door locks or more conventionally by stopping at our Hotel office and meeting with our General Manager, Nate. We want your experience from start to finish to be what you need and what makes you comfortable.
Guests are always welcome to stop at the front desk during normal business hours to speak with Nate or one of his Assistants. They are very knowledgeable about the area, happy to provide food and experiential recommendations and always willing to assist with luggage transport (as we don’t have any elevators on site).
In each room, there is a detailed guest binder that explains how to access our WiFi access, outlines our room amenities, details our breakfast hours and gives a nice introduction to the property and the area as well.
Digital Door Locks
With our new digital door locks, guests no longer need a key. This dramatically improves guest security and makes it easier for guests to come and go. The digital code for each room is automatically generated by our reservation system and changes after each guest. The four digit code (typically the last four digits of a guest’s cellphone number plus the unlock button) works from check-in time (3:00) on the day of arrival until check-out time (11:00) on the day of departure.
